We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in Downtown Seattle. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary role will be to manage and process invoices, maintain accurate financial records, and handle all accounts payable functions efficiently. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the banking industry.


Responsibilities:

• Process and manage approximately 100-150 invoices on a monthly basis

• Maintain accuracy in the accounts payable workflow system

• Manage ACH payments and check payments for vendors

• Handle the accruals at the start of each month

• Own the responsibility of the email box related to invoice routing

• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain records and process payments

• Stay updated with the latest Accounting Functions and Accrual Accounting practices

• Ensure compliance with Auditing standards and practices

• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for efficient business process management.

• Possesses skills in account coding and accrual accounting

• Proficient in using accounting software systems

• Familiar with Concur software

• Able to perform accounting functions efficiently

• Experienced in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Has previous experience in auditing

• Familiar with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions

• Able to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Familiarity with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
