Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support a Grade 2 student in Putnam, CT. This role involves assisting the student with transitions between home and school, including during transportation. The position requires a commitment of 28 hours per week, with work spanning from Sunday to Monday.

Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Support: Assist the student with getting on and off transportation, ensuring a safe and smooth process.
  • Transition Assistance: Help the student transition into the school building and back home, providing necessary support to facilitate these changes.
  • Daily Supervision: Supervise the student during transitions to ensure safety and comfort.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience working with children, especially in a school setting, is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to provide supportive care.
  • Availability: Must be available to work mornings and afternoons, as well as Sundays.
