Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Mill Plain, WA. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, providing assessments, therapy, and support to enhance their communication skills in both English and another language.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities in both languages.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the needs of bilingual students.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support the integration of therapy strategies into classroom and home environments.
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations for students' speech and language goals.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in bilingual speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Fluency in English and another language.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
