This is an in-office position located in Boise, Idaho. Some travel is required.


JOB SUMMARY:

Full responsibility for all design aspects of various projects including the development of new products, product improvements and cost reductions to address market requirements for automotive related products. The Product Development Engineer must be capable of managing multiple projects independently and simultaneously with minimal supervision. Timely and successful completion of these projects is expected.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop new products based on advancements in technology and customer feedback.
  • Sub-component design and specification in accordance with Race Winning Brands quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with CNC programmers to qualify the manufacturability of product sub-components and deliver necessary specifications to ensure form, fit and function.
  • Test plan creation and execution.
  • Vendor qualification for outsources components and processes.
  • Provide technical product data to Race Winning Brands team, distributors, customers, and racers as needed to maintain customer service excellence.
  • New technology development and research.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with design for manufacture and product development.
  • Familiar with CNC machine tool manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Expert level Excel and Data Analysis skills.
  • Design experience with 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to communicate with both management and non-management associates.
  • Technical knowledge of motorcycle products and accessories. Preferably a rider.
