Position: Full-Time Sign Language Interpreter
Caseload: Elementary (K-5)
Contract Duration: Remainder of the 2023-2024 School Year with potential to extend into the 2024-2025 School Year

Soliant Education is seeking an experienced Sign Language Interpreter to join a dedicated educational team This is a full-time onsite position serving an elementary school (K-5) caseload for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, with an opportunity to continue into the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in K-5 classrooms.
- Support students in classroom settings, during activities, and with school-related events.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure student needs are met and foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting educational goals.
- Interpret and assist students with both academic and social interactions.
- Provide acmodations and modifications as needed for students with hearing impairments.
- Attend and participate in meetings and training as required by the school or district.
Requirements:
- GAPSC Educational Interpreter License (required).
- A Bachelor's Degree (required).
- Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings, specifically with elementary-aged students.
- Knowledge and experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
- Ability to interpret both in the classroom and during extra-curricular activities.
- Strong munication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
