**Job Opportunity: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher**
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team at Soliant Education. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with hearing impairments in grades K-5.
**About the Role:**
This full-time position is available immediately for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. You will be responsible for providing direct educational services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and collaborating with general education teachers to ensure classroom accessibility.
**Responsibilities:**
- Teaching and Support: Provide high-quality educational services to students with hearing impairments, utilizing sign language, speech reading, or auditory training as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring seamless communication with staff, students, and families.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and meet all documentation requirements.
**Requirements:**
- Certification and Experience: Valid Georgia certification in Deaf Education (or the ability to obtain it) and experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, preferably at the elementary level.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication systems.
- Interpersonal and Teamwork Skills: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Estimated Salary Range:** $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
