Exciting opportunity in North Houston for a skilled Financial Reporting Manager with a strong background in both public accounting and industry to lead the financial reporting processes. This role requires expertise in SEC reporting, PCAOB standards, and SOX compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical acumen and leadership capabilities to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial statements. CPA Required.

Financial Reporting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the implementation and adherence to PCAOB and SOX standards across the organization.
  • Research and interpret new accounting standards, providing guidance on their implications and implementation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient audits and reviews.
  • Supervise and mentor the financial reporting team, ensuring professional growth and effective collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting, identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including finance, legal, and investor relations, to support financial reporting initiatives.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis and reporting to senior leadership and the board of directors.



Financial Reporting Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
  • CPA designation required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of combined public accounting and industry experience, with a focus on financial reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, PCAOB standards, and SOX compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial reporting software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
