Job Title: School Financial Coordinator

Estimated Annual Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

The School Financial Coordinator is responsible for managing the financial operations of a school site in Maury County Public Schools. This includes compiling financial information, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with district policy and state guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record-Keeping: Keep accurate records of all salary supplements paid by the school, including verifying and depositing all moneys collected.
  • Bank Deposits: Transport deposits to the bank at least twice per week.
  • Fund Management: Maintain an accurate record of all receipts and disbursements, including monitoring financial procedures with individuals responsible for school site financial operations.
  • Event Management: Collect funds from academic and athletic student events, including ticket sales and yearbook purchases, and ensure timely completion of transactions.
  • Requisitions and Purchases: Requisition and purchase all supplies and materials for the school/office, maintaining the school office inventory.
  • Banking and Reporting: Process checks for payment of all school bills, reconcile bank statements, and prepare end-of-month reporting.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Prepare and verify all annual audit and pre-audit documents, including registration, fundraiser summaries, and collection logs.
  • Clerical Functions: Perform general clerical functions, including answering telephone, distributing mail, packages, supplies, scheduling, copying, faxing, etc.
