Job Details
Our leading architecture firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work on innovative commercial projects and contribute to our commitment to excellence in design, sustainability, and performance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in architecture, design and construction, with a proven track record of managing projects from conception through completion.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development of architectural projects from initial concept through to final completion, ensuring adherence to design intent, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Utilize AutoCAD and parametric design tools to develop detailed design documents and presentations.
- Perform performance analysis to ensure design solutions meet sustainability and efficiency goals.
- Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and building codes.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, communicating progress, challenges, and solutions to all stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainable design and construction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Architectural registration is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within an architecture or construction firm, with a focus on commercial projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, parametric design tools, and other relevant software.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, QA/QC processes, and construction methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable design and performance analysis.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for architecture and design, with a commitment to innovation and excellence.
- Financial Side of projects including schedules and contracts
- Budgeting (Architect PM create budgets to help identify potential cost overruns and manage risk. They use budgeting techniques like top-down and bottom-up budgeting to estimate costs and allocate funds.)
- Tracking progress (Architect PM monitors the project's progress against the timeline and budget to ensure it stays on track. They regularly review and update the budget to account for changes or unexpected expenses)
- Securing financing (Architect PM help developers secure financing for projects by focusing on marketability, providing detailed documentation, and managing costs)
