Assistant Controller

Queens, NY

This company is looking for a passionate and accomplished Construction Accounting Professional to help improve upon their current accounting operations and financial reporting. They offer a great internal culture and looking for someone that can add value to the business and the culture. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary up to $200,000 and they are full in-office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Financial reporting for a well-established and growing construction company

  • Responsible for month end close, budget reporting, etc.

  • Work closely with the CFO on financial initiatives and analysis

  • Serve as a resource for process re-engineering and implementation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, plus 10 or more years in accounting required

  • Current or recent Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller level role within a construction company

  • Must be a true accounting leader, someone that can serve as a strategic partner to leadership, but also inspire the accounting team to perform at the highest levels

  • Technically savvy, experience optimizing and automating processes through technical advancements

  • Experience with a construction accounting platform such as Sage

  • CPA a plus, but not required
