We are offering a part-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the retail industry, located in Orland Park, Illinois. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for an array of tasks, including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, resolving inquiries, and monitoring accounts.


Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle the processing of incoming check, credit card, and ACH payments.

• Maintain meticulous records of customer credit applications.

• Facilitate the process of customer and vendor reconciliations.

• Take charge of processing both PO based and non-PO based A/P invoices.

• Ensure the accurate attachment of invoice copies to A/P invoice records.

• Proactively assist in the collection of past due accounts.

• Handle customer inquiries regarding their accounts with professionalism and accuracy.

• Regularly review customer accounts to ensure invoices and statements are sent to the correct contact.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
• Knowledge in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is needed.
• Ability to manage Bookkeeping tasks efficiently.
• Strong Data Entry skills.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is crucial.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required.
• Ability to manage Payroll effectively.
• Familiarity with SAP B1 - Business One is a plus.
