LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Lease Accountant to join our client’s finance team for a 2- 4 month contract assignment. The Lease Accountant will be responsible for managing and accounting for lease agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. This position is 100% onsite and will pay between $24 and $34/hr. depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain lease agreements for the company's fleet assets.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting standards.
  • Record and reconcile lease transactions in the general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to lease accounting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial disclosures for leases.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on lease-related financial data.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies related to lease accounting.
  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Provide guidance and training to other team members on lease accounting standards and practices.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in lease accounting or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $34.00 per hour
