Job Title: Quality Inspector

Type of Role: (Contract to Hire)

Shift / Hours: 12 hours a day - Night (6 PM - 6 AM) - Pitman Schedule

Location: Burlingotn, WA

Hourly Range: $22/hr - $27/hr DOE.

Summary of Position:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and compliance of products or services within a company. This position is for Pitman Night shift, a rotating 12-hour shift that runs 6pm-6am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality control tests and inspections on incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished PV cells and modules to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment, including but not limited to, spectrometers, current-voltage (IV) curve testers, thermal imaging cameras, and EL (electroluminescence) testers.
  • Identify and document product defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of testing procedures and protocols to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of testing data and results.

Qualifications/Skills :

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise testing protocols.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment and understanding of quality control principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to report findings and communicate with team members.
  • Able to read blueprints/GD&T Drawings

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a quality assurance or testing role within the solar or manufacturing industry is a plus.
