Responsibilities
• Assist in the management of grant’s accounting processes and operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain and manage the grants accounting database, keeping all information up-to-date.
• Regularly review and reconcile financial reports and documents related to grant funds.
• Prepare financial reports as required by grant agencies, contributing to our accountability and transparency.
• Respond to audit findings promptly, implementing necessary changes to improve our accounting practices.
• Maintain records of grant applications and awarded funds, ensuring accurate tracking of our grant activities.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring all financial transactions related to grants are carried out efficiently.
• Use your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite to perform your duties effectively.
• Leverage your experience in grants accounting to improve our accounting practices.
• Work effectively under pressure and independently with minimal supervision, meeting tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Proficiency in various Accounting Functions • Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP) • Experience managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge of Auditing procedures and principles • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • High attention to detail and accuracy in work • Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
