Stationary Engineer

The Control Engineer is a member of the Operations Department team and assists the professional staff in operating, inspecting, maintaining, and conducting basic and/or running repairs on all hospital stationary equipment. This position will also install new equipment under the supervision of the Chief Operating Engineer. The Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous safe operation of all stationary equipment in the Hospital and in assigned properties.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable and responsible for performing repairs, services, and installation of any Washington Health System owned stationary equipment under the supervision of the Chief Operating Engineer. This position will adhere to established standards, policies, and procedures of Washington Health System.
- Demonstrates competency in Washington Health System Core Control Engineer Skills & Responsibilities.
- Accurately reports information to members of the team and other members of Washington Health System in order that they may intervene to provide adequate and appropriate care.
- Completes all technical skills and procedures as delegated according to established Washington Health System Core Control Engineer Skills & Responsibilities.
Copy of Pittsburgh Stationary Engineer’s License or NIULPE of PA, Inc. (National Institute of Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers of Pennsylvania, Inc.) License required.
$27.01 starting rate; $27.63 after 90 days.
Valid Driver's License. No Tier D violations.
Shift: Full Time. Shift availability based on seniority, rotating as needed. Starting times: 7a.; 3p; and 11p
