Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Newark, Delaware

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are looking for a mitted and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team in Newark, Delaware. The successful candidate will provide prehensive speech and language services to students, working closely with educators and families to enhance student learning and munication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students with varying munication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of student progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff and parents regarding speech and language development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid Delaware state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Delaware Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Delaware Department of Education Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Passing scores on the relevant Praxis exams (if mandated by the state)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform job duties, which may include lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Capacity to manage the physical demands of working with young children and students with special needs.
