Speech and Language Pathologist Job Description

Henry Community Health is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments using speech and language skills and interviewing techniques.
  • Develop and coordinate treatment protocols/programs for patients referred to speech and language service.
  • Plan appropriate therapy interventions based on assessed needs.
  • Evaluate care given for effectiveness and appropriateness, and adapt treatment protocols as needed.
  • Consult with physicians regarding any change in patient condition on treatment program.
  • Include patient and family/caregiver in care, and educate caregiver on proper techniques in caring for the patient.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and coordinate patient care activities as they relate to speech and language pathology services.
Requirements
  • Completion of clinical fellowship year and certification of clinical competency.
  • Licensure with the State of Indiana.
  • Masters degree or equivalent from an approved college or university in Speech and Language Pathology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of job-related experience.

The Speech and Language Pathologist will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
