LHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening for a Production Material Planner for our client in the Bohemia, NY area. This direct hire role allows you to expand your engineering career within a state-of-the-art technology organization and you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing, logistics and material flow and material planning of contracted and non-contracted goods and services to meet established quality, pricing, and schedule requirements for two (2) locations. This on-site role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ current experience in a production and material planning role within an electro-mechanical production setting. Successful candidates will have a thorough understanding of Project’s SOW, Drawings, and BOMS, highly versed in MS Dynamics ERP system and multiple site management experience.

 

Salary range: $70,000.00 – $85,000 annually

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for ensuring all ordered, fabricated, pre-assembled and production consumable materials required for the completion of a project are available to the engineering and production teams based 2 US locations per Project Schedule requirements.

• Manage all production and material planning activities both physically and within the ERP system – MS Dynamics.

• Ensure a full understanding of each project’s material and production requirements through review of each Project’s SOW, Drawings, and BOMS, asking clarifying questions and working collaboratively cross functionally.

• Manage Material Control Coordinator with full responsibility for all shipping, receiving, inventory and material movement activities.

• Collaborate with the Purchasing Lead to ensure all project material requirements are met and delivered according to project schedule.

• Review impact of all pending Engineering Change Requests upon schedule and adjust planning accordingly.

• Ensure material suppliers provide quality materials on-time and work with Purchasing to resolve material issues and material returns when expectations are not met.

• Oversee all “WIP” staging areas.

• Responsible for managing all physical inventory and transactions in ERP system are in sync at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Required - Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.

• Required - Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a production and material planning role within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment; ideally capital equipment.

• Required – minimum two (2) years in a Lead or Supervisory role.

• Proven proficiency in running ERP planning and production control modules for project specific requirements.

• Experience working with BOMS and ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and to identify electronic components.

• Proven strong mechanical aptitude.

• Will be required to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening protocol.

• Must be able to present a clean, current US valid driver’s license.

• MS AX experience

• Prior experience working for a capital equipment or electro-mechanical system manufacturing organization.

 

 This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the pay range is estimated to be $70,000.00 – $85,000 annually, and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401k +match and PTO.
