Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

At VJ Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality standards, quality measurements, and testing processes to ensure all products meet our stringent quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality standards, quality measurements, and testing processes
  • Plan and execute the inspection and testing of products to confirm quality and conformance to specifications
  • Analyze and assist in investigating product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure resolution and applicable corrective action
  • Ensure personnel are fully trained and qualified to handle the tasks assigned
  • Develop or update company procedures to ensure compliance with new and existing regulations and company policies
  • Monitor risk-management procedures and maintain problem logs for identifying and reporting issues to Management, Engineering, and Sales
  • Collaborate with Technical Documentation and Process Specialist to implement and manage document control and revision process
  • Identify, initiate, and potentially lead improvement projects
  • Work with Purchasing Department to evaluate and maintain global list of suppliers and materials
  • Ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and demands
  • Oversee other compliance and quality-related responsibilities and documentation requirements as needed
  • Provide training to staff, vendors, and customers as needed
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree, Mechanical or Electrical discipline preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of related quality control, assurance, or compliance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices, and defect management practices
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills enabling effective communication internally and externally using all available methods of communication
  • Able to connect with and influence teammates to lead change management efforts
  • Technical aptitude coupled with a sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, BOMs, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Effective problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and take appropriate action
  • Experience working with an ERP or similar system
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with x-ray technology
  • Prior management experience
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Conversational Chinese
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other production safety protocols and requirements
Physical and Mental Demands:

Regularly required to sit, walk, bend, stoop, and stand within both an office and an industrial environment. Will need to repeatedly use hands and fingers to operate basic office equipment and potentially operate hand and power tools standard to a production environment. Expected to effectively communicate in person, on phone, and via email and other electronic devices on a continual and repetitive basis. Responsibilities could require lifting, moving, staging, and placing of materials up to 50 pounds alone and heavier with assistance. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. May be required to travel, domestically and internationally, by car and by air. Overnight stays may also be required.
