We are searching for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team in the Government sector, located in Incline Village, Nevada. You will be responsible for handling a variety of financial transactions, maintaining accounting and statistical files, and providing general office support. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:


• Manage and verify various financial transactions

• Maintain and update financial, accounting, and statistical files and reports regularly

• Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of journals, ledgers, and other accounting sub-ledgers and records

• Utilize standard word processing and spreadsheet software, including financial and other automated systems

• Contribute to budget preparation, year-end closing processes, and annual audits

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, along with billing functions

• Prepare and disburse payments, ensuring internal controls verifications

• Foster a positive work environment by actively participating in problem-solving

• Perform general office support duties, including correspondence, duplication, and distribution of written materials

• Undertake other duties as assigned.
