We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a senior-level HR Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be tasked with a diverse range of responsibilities including communication, compliance, and documentation tasks within the human resources industry. This role is Part time to Full time, requirement travel to 3 different campuses in Chicago.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

• Utilize HRIS systems for managing and updating employee records.

• Coordination and support for DEI initiatives and developments.

• Management of HR investigations and resolution of employee relation issues.

• Maintenance and enhancement of employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health initiatives.

• Maintain compliance with FMLA and other relevant regulations.

• Manage documentation related to HR administration efficiently.

• Leverage your communication skills to address and resolve employee inquiries.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites for various administrative tasks.

• Play a key role in human resources administration to support the HR department.

• Ensure all employee records are accurate and up to date.

• Collaborate with the HR team to implement HR policies and procedures.

• Be proactive in identifying and addressing potential HR-related issues.

• Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
• Strong ability in using Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
• In-depth understanding of sourcing and recruitment processes
• Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
• Experience with onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll processes
• Proficient understanding of compliance with labor laws
• Familiarity with FMLA and workers' compensation processes
• Experience with HR administration, including record-keeping and employee documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
