Position Overview:As a School Psychologist in Jerome, you will play a critical role in promoting the academic, behavioral, and emotional success of students. Youll work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and parents to provide psychological assessments, counseling, and mental health support tailored to individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Psychological Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to address students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- IEP Development: Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and implement strategies that support students with learning or behavioral challenges.
- Counseling and Intervention: Provide individual and group counseling to support students facing social, emotional, or behavioral issues.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create interventions that enhance both academic and social success.
- Mental Health Advocacy: Advocate for students' mental health needs and provide staff training on emotional and behavioral interventions.
- Crisis Intervention: Be a part of crisis response efforts, ensuring the safety and well-being of students during critical situations.
- Educational Requirements: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Certification: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid School Psychologist certification in Idaho.
- Experience: Experience in a school setting is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of child development, behavioral intervention strategies, and mental health support, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
