Job Description

Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

Responsibilities
  • Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cement, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • May install multi-level subassemblies and modules into racks using complex configurations.
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as wiring servers, and mechanical assembly.
  • Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Set up a station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.
  • Handles/installs polarized/non-polarized components at designated locations on the product.
  • Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.
  • Assist in performing repair work.
  • Communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors, and engineers.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on production line equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Capable of using a torque screwdriver and small hand tools
  • Ability to lift to 10 lbs consistently
  • Perform work on a 50-inch elevated platform two-step ladder or a nine-step ladder
  • Ability to follow wire diagrams to perform assembly work
  • Good computer skills
  • Assemble complex units for wiring, connecting different sub-assemblies and nodes into large rack systems
Schedule

Electronic manufacturing environment with day shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and swing shift from 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milpitas, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.40
