Job Title: Assembly Technician

Location: Milpitas, CA

Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Compensation: $24.00 - $26.40 per hour (based on shift)

Job Overview:

Join a dynamic team as an Assembly Technician where you'll be at the heart of the production process, working with high-precision assemblies and cutting-edge technology. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality as you perform a variety of mechanical and electrical assembly tasks to produce complex products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble & Secure Components: Follow detailed work orders and drawings to assemble parts using a variety of methods, including crimping, staking, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, and press fitting.
  • Complex Assembly Integration: Install multi-level subassemblies and modules into racks, adhering to intricate configurations to ensure flawless product assembly.
  • Final Product Installation: Fit and secure finished assemblies or subassemblies into cases or cabinets, ensuring all components are aligned and properly installed.
  • Hardware Attachment: Attach essential hardware such as caps, knobs, clamps, and switches to assemblies, enhancing the final product’s functionality and design.
  • Intermediate Assembly Tasks: Handle mechanical and electrical tasks, including wiring servers and completing intermediate assembly steps to ensure smooth production.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform go/no-go testing and inspections to verify that assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards.
  • Station Setup: Prepare your work station with the necessary components, tools, and assembly documents to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Component Handling: Install polarized and non-polarized components in designated locations, following precise instructions for placement.
  • Material Adjustments: Trim or adjust components to meet specific electrical or dimensional requirements, ensuring precise functionality.
  • Repair Assistance: Assist in repairing assemblies and components as needed, ensuring any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Communicate effectively with peers, leads, supervisors, and engineers to resolve any process challenges or technical issues.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on production line machinery to keep the workflow running smoothly.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in mechanical assembly, electronics, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and blueprints.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical wiring and intermediate mechanical assembly.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.40
