Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Associate for our client, a nonprofit, organization focused on ensuring a brighter future for our country through educational initiatives aimed at children. This is an exciting 2-3 month contract opportunity, working from 9am â?? 4pm, located in Washington DC
As the Development  Associate, you will assist the development team with an array of administrative tasks and processing end of year donations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Opening and sorting mail
- Assembling and mailing donor recognition packages and other items
- Inventory and supply organization
- Digitization of files (scanning, labelling, and organizing)
- Possible telephone work with donors
- Basic data entry
- Experience in a fundraising environment would be helpful, but not necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years working in an administrative role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with gift processing a plus
- Nonprofit a plus
