Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial obligations by processing invoices and payments accurately and on time. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and verifying invoices and payment requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and receipts to ensure proper documentation.
  • Entering and posting invoices into the accounting system.
  • Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments.
  • Reconciling accounts payable transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Resolving any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments.
  • Assisting with month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciling vendor statements.
  • Communicating with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment-related queries and ensure timely payments.
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable team with additional tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in processing high-volume transactions and working with vendors.
