Radiology Technician

Radiology Technician - Paying up to $36/hr.

Job Description:
- Adjust radiographic equipment for proper exposure techniques in accordance with ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety guidelines.
- Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Accurately process images for optimal quality, ensuring acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of using the digitizer for x-ray interpretation.
- Verify that equipment functions properly; requisition for equipment maintenance, repair, or replacement; and remove defective equipment.
- Function independently without constant supervision and effectively perform essential Radiology Technician functions.
- Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure medical equipment is working properly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of care and handling of surgical instruments.
- Execute aseptic techniques proficiently.
- Communicate effectively, conveying written and verbal information accurately.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or licensed in the state of employment.
- ARRT Certified in Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum of one year of experience performing similar essential functions preferred, but new graduates with excellent references will be considered.
- KS License through KSBHA.
- General surgery x-rays experience is not required.
- Eager to learn, punctual, no attendance issues, takes initiative, and has a strong desire to be part of the team.
