Department: Finance/Accounting

Modality: 4-5 Days Onsite

Pay Range: $40 - $55 / hour

Contract: 6 Months, Likely to Extend

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Project Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Dayforce and will be responsible for managing accounting projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and optimizing our use of Dayforce for payroll, benefits, and other HR-related functions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage accounting projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.
  • Dayforce Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for all Dayforce-related activities, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of Dayforce across the organization.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to accounting and HR staff on Dayforce functionalities and best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with internal policies and external regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a project management role. Extensive experience with Dayforce is required.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Dayforce and other accounting software.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and project management.
