Job DescriptionJob Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team in our fast-paced hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions related to guest invoicing and payments. The role involves ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded, followed up on, and finally resolved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post and verify daily payments from guests and other sources such as travel agencies, credit card companies, and online booking platforms.
  • Follow up on overdue invoices, provide reminders to guests for any unpaid balances, and ensure payments are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and control reports for all guest reservations, payments, and outstanding balances.
  • Liaise with front desk staff to ensure all guest bills are accurate and complete.
  • Resolve billing queries and disputes in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular reports detailing the status of accounts receivable to the management team.
  • Support internal and external auditing activities related to accounts receivable.
  • Work closely with other departments within the hotel to resolve account discrepancies and improve operational efficiency.

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and other hotel staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment.
