Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the profitable operation of modernization projects. This includes the supervision of all related

  • modernization activities, including union and non-union personnel, as well as subcontractors.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Repair Department.

  • Survey the job for materials and order accordingly. Track and schedule materials based on the projected start date.

  • Assures that the job site is ready for activity before sending a mechanic and materials.

  • Coordinates/Works with all subcontractors associated with the project.

  • Monitors and updates job progress for proper progress billing per job, including all change orders.

  • Completes all required documentation associated with day-to-day operations.

  • Reduces delays and improves proficiency in the field.

  • Conduct safety meetings with field mechanics.

  • Follows up and intervenes with manufacturers and vendors. Works with vendors to establish the best pricing.

  • Schedules deliveries to job sites and picks up materials from vendors.

  • Sets up inspections, letters of intent, and all needed permits.

  • Ensure all close-out documents and warranty books are provided at the end of each job.

  • Ensure all job sites adhere to OSHA guidelines.

  • Process and review Payroll on a weekly basis.

  • Update operational departments on a weekly basis.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures.

  • Maintain constant communication with clients to include, job progress, Gantt schedule, work by others, and billing.

  • Ensure the job is within budget. Manage Mechanic's schedule and expectations to complete the job on time.

  • Manage Mechanic's daily schedule and assign jobs based on qualifications.

  • Maintain receipts and processed monthly expense reports.
