Job DescriptionJob Description

LHH is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Review, verify, and enter invoices and payments into the accounting system.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Process and apply customer payments.

  • Maintain Financial Records:

  • Accurately enter and maintain financial data in ledgers and accounting software.

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining records of general ledger accounts and transactions.

  • Perform Bank Reconciliations:

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

  • Assist with Payroll:

  • Provide support in processing payroll and ensuring timely disbursements.

  • Prepare Financial Reports:

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Support Audits:

  • Provide documentation and assist with internal and external audits.

  • Handle Miscellaneous Accounting Tasks:

  • Prepare and file invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

  • Assist with budget tracking and forecasting.

Qualifications:
  • Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).

  • Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).

  • Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation: $28-$30/hour DOE
