Job Details
Position Title: Threading Supervisor (hourly) or Manager (salary)
Reporting Relationship:
Primary: Plant Manager
Direct Reports: All threading operations (3 crews; 2 shifts)
Position Purpose:
- The Threading Supervisor will lead and manage all threading production operations.
- Oversee comprehensive tubular operations by planning and executing production schedules, ensuring on-time performance, maximizing labor
utilization, and managing product and quality costs while achieving inventory objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring product quality meets company standards and customer specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Creating work schedules, managing personnel, and collaborating with management and HR to maintain crews that meet production targets.
- Supervise the daily setup and operation of CNC lathes, oversee machine operators, and monitor processes to ensure compliance with company
standards.
- Verify the accuracy of production results and daily paperwork, promptly notifying plant management of any issues affecting productivity, quality, or
safety.
- Administrative duties will include maintaining attendance records, time sheets, and managing any necessary corrective actions.
Experience:
3+ years of leadership experience in machining operations, specifically in threading
2+ years of experience in the oil and gas OCTG sector, with knowledge of OCTG grades and specifications (API 5CT)
2+ years of managing API Pipe & Tube quality standards, with experience in premium and semi-premium connections preferred
Proficiency in machine operations and troubleshooting
