Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company (NDP) has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor to support its Longview, Washington manufacturing facility. The company is a leading producer of market pulp and bleached paperboard used to make cartons and cups for liquids such as milk, juice, coffee, and sake.

The Longview manufacturing facility produces 260,000 metric tons of paperboard each year, equivalent to 6 billion liter-sized milk cartons. We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations and ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor with a strong background in the Pulp and Paper industry or other manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring employees and organizing workflows to guarantee a smooth and efficient production process. In this fast-paced environment, the supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop operating teams' capabilities to achieve business results (safety, reliability, cost, quality) and meet customer requirements.
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and discipline to team members.
  • Assess and coordinate skill development.
  • Schedule and facilitate team and safety meetings.
  • E nsure team members understand and meet customer expectations.
  • Resolve team issues and address concerns promptly.
  • Cordinate maintenance activities and equipment repairs to ensure maximum equipment reliability.
  • Conduct inspections and test runs to ensure safe, reliable operations.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including preparing reports and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in the Pulp and Paper industry or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a challenging work environment.
Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

This compensation package includes competitive total compensation, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, company match on 401K, and more. Our employees also receive 20+ paid vacation days, holidays, personal days, and an annual discretionary bonus.
