Job DescriptionJob Description

We are on the lookout for a Materials Resource Planner to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial within our company, ensuring the smooth operation of our planning and scheduling processes. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of functions, such as processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

• Schedule and monitor key support functions, manufacturing sources, and suppliers to meet scheduled shipments in a quality and cost-effective manner.

• Monitor and manage the flow of materials, components, assemblies, and inventory.

• Conduct detailed inventory analyses and address any problems to ensure high system data accuracy.

• Work on semi-complex products that may require new engineering and design.

• Adapt quickly to perform other roles within the Planning department with little instruction and oversight.

• Regularly interface with Materials department, Engineering, Manufacturing, Fabrication, and Project teams when making decisions or resolving issues requiring creative solutions.

• Identify improvement opportunities and suggest solutions related to Material Planning and execution.

• Assist in the implementation of approved process improvement efforts.

• Provide direction to other functions within the organization on proper execution of Project or Fabrication Scope and engineering activities as it relates to production.

• Execute inventory analysis and support inventory utilization and availability through management of Safety Stock procurement lots and master data.

• Lead small groups of planners and other functions in specific planning and problem-solving activities and Process Improvement efforts.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Sales and Operations

• Experience in Office Functions and Documentation

• Prior exposure to Training, Materials Handling, and Planning Processes

• Proficiency in Quality Review and Design principles

• Familiarity with Shipping Functions and Production

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Proficiency in Spreadsheets and Facility management

• Strong Negotiation skills

• Experience in Implementation and Procurement processes

• Engineering knowledge is a plus

• Experience in Confirmations and Receipt processes

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
