Payroll Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our clients growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing weekly and biweekly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. Additionally, you will assist with payroll taxes, benefits, and reporting to guarantee compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly and biweekly payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure all hours, deductions, and bonuses are correctly entered and calculated.
Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data.
Process payroll taxes and deductions, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws.
Maintain employee records, including salary, benefits, and tax information.
Prepare and submit required payroll tax filings and ensure timely payment of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in payroll processing, including both weekly and biweekly payroll cycles.
Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes.
Knowledge of benefits administration and garnishment processes.
Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP – Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus.
