Responsibilities of the Assistant Service Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and train Service Technicians
  • Make field visits to assist Service Technicians and Sales Managers with complicated customer service and technical matters
  • Resolve customer disputes and billing issues
  • Work with the service coordinators and Estimators to ensure schedules and jobs are managed correctly and smoothly
  • Assist Employee Development Manager to ensure training is completed
  • Ensure the technicians’ vehicles are properly cared for
  • Make sure the shop is clean and organized
  • Make sure technicians have the right parts for their jobs
  • Manage deliveries and inventory of warehouse
  • Coordinate planning with other members of Branch management
  • Serve as supervisor on-call, 24 hours a day
  • Manage all employees are: Punctual, Communicating correctly and effectively with customers, and Respecting dress code
  • All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Assistant Service Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Prior supervisory and training experience preferred
  • Having a mechanical background or knowledge is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A valid driver’s license is required with a clear driving record
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Pass a drug test
  • Pay is based on experience

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Lift up to 50lbs

Working Conditions: Shop environment - Requires working in hot (above 90 F degrees) or cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures, includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions. Requires working in cramped spaces and getting into awkward positions. Includes exposure to contaminants

Training/Certifications: N/A

Shift Time/Overtime: 7am to 4pm

Travel: A valid driver’s license is required with a clear driving record.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
