Job Title: Mechanical Assembler with Shipping Experience

Location: Brea, CA 

Company Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with experience in shipping operations to join our team. If you have a strong mechanical background, are detail-oriented, and can work efficiently with shipping software and assembly tools, we’d love to hear from you

Responsibilities:

Shipping Operations:

  • Utilize UPS WorldShip and Sage 100 for shipping processes.
  • Enter package dimensions accurately for outgoing shipments.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and assembly carts to move products safely and efficiently.

Mechanical Assembly:

  • Complete work orders according to detailed assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble Blower systems, including Retro-Kits, Upgrade Kits, and Standard Kits, following established guidelines.
  • Conduct testing on blower heads, including vibration testing, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform final checks on blower systems and blower heads to ensure quality standards are met.

Tool & Equipment Use:

  • Perform cutting and de-burring operations using tools such as a bandsaw, chop saw, sanding wheel, Dremel, box knife, and other power tools.
  • Use calibrated equipment like calipers, torque wrenches, and feeler gauges to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.

Sub-Assembly Work:

  • Assemble air knife brackets, HEPA filters, filter silencers, manifolds, enclosures, and tensioners according to SOPs.
  • Make minor electrical connections as required for assembly completion.

Material Handling:

  • Apply shelf-life products (e.g., LOC-TITE, Anti-Seize) to ensure assembly integrity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly and shipping operations.
  • Familiarity with UPS WorldShip and Sage 100 software.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work orders.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of tools, including calipers, torque wrenches, feeler gauges, and power tools.
  • Forklift certification preferred; experience with pallet jacks and assembly carts is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of minor electrical connections.
