Design and Development Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Design and Development Engineer to join our team at RealTruck. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products and product extensions to support our current product lines.

Your primary focus will be on developing innovative designs that meet our customers' needs while ensuring quality, safety, and effectiveness. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute design projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design new products and product extensions using 3D CAD mechanical design experience (SolidWorks)
  • Collaborate with development teams to conceptualize and develop designs that meet customer needs
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design work and ensure project timelines are met
  • Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new designs
  • Create design documentation for release to manufacturing, including part/assembly drawings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical product design required, 5+ years preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and clear DMV record
