About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team at Applied Composites. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for performing a range of routine assembly operations of small parts or components, under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use basic shop tools such as sanders, grinders, and drill motors to assemble components
  • Verify dimensions using measuring devices such as calipers, scales, and micrometers
  • Document materials used in the process to maintain traceability
  • Perform accurate work at a fast pace
  • Sandblast parts with minimal scrap or errors
  • Familiarity with standard shop practices in the aerospace industry
  • Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to work with chemicals
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrate all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Able to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
  • Capable of performing basic mathematics
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
  • Able to problem-solve using existing procedures
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
