Composite Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team at Applied Composites. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for performing a range of routine assembly operations of small parts or components, under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Use basic shop tools such as sanders, grinders, and drill motors to assemble components
- Verify dimensions using measuring devices such as calipers, scales, and micrometers
- Document materials used in the process to maintain traceability
- Perform accurate work at a fast pace
- Sandblast parts with minimal scrap or errors
- Familiarity with standard shop practices in the aerospace industry
- Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to work with chemicals
- Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles
- Demonstrate all safety policies and procedures
- Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Able to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
- Capable of performing basic mathematics
- Ability to read and interpret company documents
- Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
- Able to problem-solve using existing procedures
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
