We are searching for a Sr. Accountant based in Little Rock, Arkansas, to join our client's team in the transportation industry. This role will require you to manage the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, conduct detailed analysis and reconciliation of accounts, and maintain adherence to corporate accounting policies.


The salary range will be $70,000 - $80,000 DOE along with phenomenal benefits at this well-established and respected company

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements

• Conduct meticulous analysis and reconciliation of accounts for accuracy

• Evaluate cash flow and develop budgets and forecasts

• Oversee audits and maintain internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance

• Drive continuous improvement by automating accounting and reporting processes

• Coordinate quarterly reviews and audits with internal and external auditors

• Execute monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, including trends, metrics, and benchmarks

• Actively participate in departmental initiatives to enhance overall efficiency

• Manage ad-hoc projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the transport industry
• Proficiency in payroll management and processing
• Strong competencies in accrual accounting methods
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• A relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation in the transport industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven experience in financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
