Position Overview:
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services required for our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of supply chain management, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for contributing to a dynamic manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine material and service requirements.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier audits, and assess their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials and services.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, and on-time delivery, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and lead times to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to procurement activities.
- Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Supply chain certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
