Entegris is seeking a Materials Quality Engineerfor our site in Danbury, CT This role is critical for managing supplier quality interactions in support of our specialty gases business within Entegris. In this role, the candidates primary responsibility will be to assess and manage supplier risk, performance, and improvement to ensure the continuity of the Entegris supply chain and our customers supply chain. This position will have an opportunity to work with the Global Materials Quality team. The candidate must be able to work with significant autonomy and independent judgement to achieve Global Materials Quality goals and Entegris corporate goals and lead continuous improvement and supplier change projects with our critical/strategic suppliers. The candidate will also work closely with Procurement, Operations, RandD and Customer Quality for internal and customer issue resolution. Robust interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with both internal customers and our critical/strategic suppliers is required to enable effective supplier management and improvement of supplier performance. Responsibilities: Be the main technical interface between raw material suppliers and Entegris to assure all requirements for Incoming material quality is met. Collect and evaluate supplier process and product data and have an understanding how the material properties impact product quality. Develop in-depth understanding of suppliers manufacturing processes and be a subject matter expert to reduce/prevent quality issues. Build supplier capabilities, and assure they are capable to meet all expectations on quality, cost, anddelivery. Serve as a technical and risk assessment owner for any Supplier changes impacting the raw material. Main contact developing road map and risk assessment with Suppliers for Continuous Improvement activities on process and metrology. Build solid relationships with suppliers and interact regularly to focus and drive timely resolution of issues. Work closely with other functional groups in quality, manufacturing, commercial and RandD teams, global materials quality engineers and collect information for Supplier metrics. Drive Supplier Corrective actions to completion. Lead customer investigations related to raw materials, including direct customer interfacing whennecessary. Utilize Entegris quality management processes including audits, FMEAs, corrective actions, scorecards, six sigma projects, management of change, etc. to assure consistent and high-quality raw material supply. Identify and drive best value and cost reduction opportunities with existing supply base and work closely with procurement group to drive tocompletion. Requirements: B.S Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science. Advanced degree is a plus. Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred. 3-5 years of related chemical, gas manufacturing or application relatedexperience. Must have a solid understanding of gas manufacturing and delivery systems, continuous improvement methods, problem solving techniques, SPC, and FMEA. Ability to focus and summarize complex data sets towards key decision points (actions). Understand Quality Systems and Auditing and have statistical knowledge. Knowledge of Stati tical software such as Minitab, JMP. Strong influencing and negotiation skills arerequired. Ability to develop and foster strong businessrelationships. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and must possess a sense of urgency in satisfying internal and external customer needs. Demonstration of previous success working with suppliers or customers ispreferred. Experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, automotive, or high-tech industry a plus. Project management experience a plus. Understanding of application of source gases in CMP industry a plus. Travel up to 10% of the time, including international travel if required.
