We are looking for an experienced and creative-minded Controller to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in multi-family property management and expertise as a controller or assistant controller. You’ll initially oversee the financial management of 9 properties, with significant portfolio growth anticipated in the coming year, including over 2,500 additional units.

**Location:** Remote (with bi-monthly visits to Nashville office)

**Role Summary:**
As the Controller, you will oversee all financial operations, driving accurate accounting processes and financial planning for the portfolio. We need a proactive, adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Oversee financial management for 9 multi-family properties, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with corporate leadership and property management teams to meet financial objectives.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
- Manage vendor-related accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Generate and review monthly financial statements, identifying trends and discrepancies.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of newly acquired properties into the portfolio.
- Provide senior leadership with financial analysis and recommendations.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in multi-family property management.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Experience using property management software, with Yardi preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work cross-functionally.
- A positive, collaborative leadership style.
