Corrosion Control Specialist

As a Corrosion Technician with MasTec Professional Services, you will be responsible for performing field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures. Your expertise will be utilized to recommend troubleshooting tests and identify when such testing is required.
Key Responsibilities- Work independently to obtain field data and determine the condition of structures under evaluation.
- Compile and submit field data for senior staff review and analysis.
- Develop and implement test procedures for complex troubleshooting.
- Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members, clients, and management staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
- 0-3 years of experience in the corrosion control industry, particularly in cathodic protection work.
- Government contracts require U.S. citizenship.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- In lieu of NACE Certification, an Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel as required for the job.
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
- NACE International certification as a Corrosion Technician, CP Level 1 or higher.
This position requires standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in an all-weather environment.
