Job Description:

  • The Payroll Accounting Supervisor role interacts with both US & Canada payroll teams.

  • Plays a key role in general ledger analysis, internal controls, ad-hoc requests and overall Payroll financial impact. The organization as a whole is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and results in a timely, high quality and accurate manner while ensuring adherence to internal controls.

  • Operate as part of a high performing team with a focus on exceptional customer experience and quality results.

  • Manage through ambiguity, develop proactive thinking, and balance workload to meet or exceed various deadlines and Service Level Agreements.

  • Analyze large volumes of data, draw conclusions, develop action plans and being extremely adaptable to changing priorities will be essential.

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities is needed ensure maximum productivity and efficiency our teams.

  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to design, develop and implement new processes and enhancements needed to deliver superior execution

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement recommendations to achieve cost and processing efficiencies as well as improve employee experience

  • Solve complex situations that arise, analyze the root cause of the problem and identify sustainable solutions.

  • Responsible for ensuring team processes are documented.

  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of Company including Labor Legal, IT, and HR teams.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 Years of Accounting, Finance or Shared Services related experience

  • Must have strong proficiency for technology and ability to remain focused on priorities in dynamic environments

  • Ability to understand financial impact of data and to ensure transparency

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to achieve and drive results in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work individually and cooperatively collaborating with others

  • Competence to manage conflicting priorities while meeting deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus

  • Strong attention to details and accuracy

  • Advanced computer proficiency in Excel and Word

  • Experience with Oracle Financial is a plus

  • Demonstrate integrity and transparency at all times.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
