Job DescriptionJob DescriptionScion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Grants Specialist for a small nonprofit providing low to no cost tax services to low-income families. This is a part-time, 20 hour a week, temporary to hire opportunity based out of Ohio that offers a completely remote schedule allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the United States.

In this role, the Nonprofit Grants Specialist will act as a direct support to the Executive Director and will be responsible for overseeing the complete grant lifecycle while also identifying new avenues of funding to build a diverse portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide direct, full-cycle grants support to the Executive Director.
  • Take raw information and formatting to meet funder requirements and expectations.
  • Write grant narratives utilizing data collected from the organization.
  • Organize data from pulled reports to tell concise stories to funders.
  • Conduct research to generate potential prospects for funding opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated success in grant writing is required.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication to curate grant proposals and requests while also conversing directly with donors,
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and have a keen attention to detail.
  • Keen organization and task prioritization skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This career opportunity provides a starting hourly pay of $30.00 to $35.00 DOE with room for further career growth over time, plus medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week.
