We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Management Specialist to join our team at the Ohio Department of Commerce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance to recipients on grant life cycle compliance, implementation, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to recipients on grant life cycle compliance, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Monitor, track, and evaluate progress of funded projects through deliverable and requirements reviews, desk reviews, correspondence, and other means.
  • Provide advice and consultation to recipients in various grant areas, including special conditions, grant deliverables and requirements, allowable expenses, and more.
  • Review recipient project progress reports, deliverables, budgets, and other documentation to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring WSIC grant applications, awards, and compliance, and review grant applications submitted to BWC for funding to determine eligibility, needed revisions, and necessary conditions for funding.
Requirements
  • 3 courses or 9 months of experience in contract and grant preparation, accounting, and public relations.
  • Or 6 months of experience as a Grants Coordinator 1, 63161.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment.
