Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering an opportunity for an Office Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves supporting a team dedicated to providing energy assistance to city residents. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, catering to a variety of functions related to energy assistance and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the scanning process for applications and incoming mail, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
• Assist in managing data files and performing various office duties as required.
• Support the call center team by handling high volume incoming calls when necessary.
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues and peer agencies to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in training and other development opportunities to enhance knowledge of internal and external services.
• Adhere strictly to all organizational policies and procedures.
• Take on additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative spirit.
• Manage the file room duties, maintaining order and efficiency.
• Work with scanning machines and other software tools, learning to navigate them effectively.
• Handle matters outside of your responsibilities by elevating them to the appropriate team and ensuring timely resolution.• Proven experience as an Office Assistant or in a similar role
• Proficient in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
• Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus
