Catering Assistant
Location: New York, NY

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Catering Assistant to join our team at a bustling events venue. The ideal candidate will assist with the coordination and execution of catering services for a variety of events, including private parties, corporate functions, and social gatherings. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Preparation: Assist with the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, décor, and service stations to meet client specifications.
  • Service Support: Ensure all food and beverages are served promptly and professionally during events.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with clients and event organizers to address requests and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, including tracking supplies and reporting needs to the Catering Manager.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Post-Event Tasks: Assist in the packing and proper storage of equipment and leftovers, and prepare the venue for the next event.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in catering, events, or food service is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move equipment for extended periods.
