Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Materials Ordering Specialist to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Supply Chain Management, MRP software, Kaizen, Demand Planning, and Production Planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all materials necessary for production are available in a timely and cost-effective manner. As a key player in our manufacturing process, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and profitability of our operations.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement materials management strategies to meet company objectives for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Utilize MRP software to monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and forecast future demand.
3. Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to plan and schedule production activities.
4. Identify and resolve any material shortages, overages, or discrepancies to ensure uninterrupted production.
5. Implement Kaizen principles to continuously improve materials management processes and procedures.
6. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues.
7. Analyze demand trends and production capacity to develop accurate demand forecasts.
8. Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new product introductions or process improvements.
9. Maintain accurate records of all materials ordering activities and provide regular reports to management.
10. Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, production planning, or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven expertise in Supply Chain Management, MRP software, Kaizen, Demand Planning, and Production Planning.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
5. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, industry regulations, and safety standards.
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
10. Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
